Yet another Blog of one man's fascination with the Napoleonic period in 10mm, 15mm and 28mm figures. I also dabble in Imaginations and other periods. Here I will post pictures of my painted miniatures and whatever random thoughts may occur as I paint, base and game. Enjoy!

Perry Crossbow men for Lion Rampant
Here are 12 crossbow from the Perry Brothers, I painted these as a militia type unit so they are more uniform than the Pavaisers I painted up the other week. They are based on 20mm MDF bases with tufts of grass. I had to use the flash on these and the results are not that pleasing, maybe I should have waited for natural light but that would have meant hanging on until the weekend!

Very well done. The light blue ties the unit together nicely.

Thanks Michael, I thought so too.
DeleteVery nice work on these guys Ken!
ReplyDeleteCheers Roger, I try my best!
DeleteNicely done, they look beautiful with this mix of blus and white colors...
ReplyDeleteThanks Phil, the combination of colours is plausible.
DeleteBy eck, Ken! You're fair piling through stuff! Very nice!
ReplyDeleteThanks Andy, I had to rekindle my mojo somehow.
DeleteTurns out that the French cities would equip their militias at their own expense, and buy in bulk so hence they were more uniform.
