Marshal Ney Command Base

After taking a break from painting for some weeks I have finally returned. Here we have the 'bravest of the brave' with his ADC colonel Heymes (hussar uniform) and another ADC. These are AB figures and as usual paint up well even by me.

I also got a new camera, a Canon IXUS-130 from the wife as a birthday present, again I will need to master it's macro features.

Enjoy.

  4. Yeah your new camera looks to be the business Ken.

Could I make a tiny suggestion Ken? Your figures and basing is excellent and I am no expert (by a long shot). If you went round your base edge with the green your using on the edge again when your all finished up it would really complete them.

Hope I'm not being a plonker?
    Regards

  5. Nicely done, I just got a Ney from AB in the US. I did not order it when I ordered my IG and Dragoons but they threw it in. Anyway I was wondering how to paint him, thanks to you I have some ideas...

  6. Hi Paul,

Good point actually! It wouldn't take five minutes to do either. I did notice when sticking on the magnetic sheet and cutting it to size bases get scratched also. I'll probably clean the exsiting bases all up later and be more careful for future work.

    Cheers

  7. Hi Ken,
That is 1 well used cutting matt :-)

Years of lovely figures must have passed over it!

  8. about five years worth of cutting, painting and spraying. Often use to transport figures to garage or garden table for varnishing/priming.

  9. Ken, I do not if you noticed but I did my Ney base very similar to how you did yours, I hope you did not mind...
