First item today is a pin vice and drill set which I bought today from my local modelzone store.
The price was ok I think and will mainly use these for drilling out the barrels of cannons and howitzers.
Here are some shots of the legere, I have made some skirmish stands based two to a stand of 30mm x 20mm.
and now for the line.
a view from the rear - I find painting the white straps
on the greatcoat rolls a bit awkward.
another view
some group shots of the brigade
finally
Very nice Ken,
ReplyDeleteI especially like the Leger, we are lacking in leger at the moment. Yeah that is a nice set the pin vice, we never got anywhere near that amount of drill bits. I think we only got the small section at right. The large ones will do for when we are older and have to move to 28mm when we can no longer see 15mm to paint!
Cheers

Hi Paul,
ReplyDeleteThe AB option is expensive (at 50p a figure) while OG are 25p. I bought a pack of OG young guard that I might paint up as leger (they are in campaign trousers with plumes).
Cheers

Hi Ken,
ReplyDeleteYeah I have a couploe of battalions of the OG Young Guard. I have 1 finished on my blog. They are nice little figures the OG Guard. I do like the AB's though. I picked up 45 March Attack AB Prussians at a little shows bring and buy a couple of weeks ago, all painted and based up for £12, Sweet! The style was similar to my own but more the base colours so I am just finishing them off at the moment as my Prussian Guard.
Cheers

The reason I bought the YG pack was due to your pictures blog. I thought they would look nice as leger.
ReplyDeleteWoo! the 24 prussians was a bargain! The only show I've been to is the Varpantak at York in Feb. Been there twice now, I've bought bits and pieces never any troops.
Cheers
Ken
Yeah, I usually by bits and pieces too, paints, files and bases.
ReplyDeleteHope you like the Old Glory Young Guard?
Cheers
